Working in Adult Social Care
A career in care is a role to be proud of with flexible opportunities. Due to high demand for our service, we have flexible opportunities available for care workers ranging from full-time roles to just a few hours a week.
You will be joining a passionate team, who provide a lifeline service that helps our residents to live their best life possible in their own homes.
No experience is necessary, although if you have some that’s great – we are just looking for people with a caring nature and can-do attitude.
You will work alongside an experienced care worker and full training will be provided.
Everyone’s needs are unique so no one day is ever the same and you will be involved in a wide range of tasks such as helping with personal care, meal preparation and household jobs.
You will also have an important role to play in encouraging independence, building confidence and providing emotional support and companionship to residents and their families all of which can be hugely rewarding.
Shifts are available across days, evenings and weekends enabling you to find a work/life balance that suits your needs and can fit around your other commitments.
The roles will be based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Gateshead, North Tyneside and Northumberland.
Job Role
Care Worker
You will support people with all aspects of their day to day living, including social and physical activities, personal care, mobility and mealtimes.
You will be working in people’s own homes which often involves travelling to different people’s houses.
You could work with lots of different people including elderly and infirm, adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health conditions.
Your role might include:
Supporting people with social and physical activities.
Booking and going with people to appointments.
Helping with personal care such as showering and dressing.
Supporting people with eating and drinking.
Assisting people with taking their medication safely.
